I was a Head of Politics at a Sixth Form college in London, with over 15 years experience teaching Politics and running a large department.

I have worked as an examiner, reviewed academic textbooks for publishers, delivered teacher training on the subject, and I am a Financial Times Teacher’s Advisor for Politics.

I focus on depth of content and essay writing to reach the higher marks.

Please note, due to time constraints, I have decided to take on fewer students and will only focus on those that I believe need my help. I now charge £70 per hour session.

I have a trainee teacher who studied A level Politics, an IR degree and masters who is also happy to tutor on the weekends. Bleta charges £30 per hour. I would highly recommend her.

From time to time I also hold group sessions online and in Central London, depending on whether we receive the numbers. These are priced at £20 per hour. Let me know if you are interested in this.

My daughter started her classes with Jal late in Yr 13, since despite all her efforts, she was not able to identify why she wasn’t making progress. Within a lesson or two, Jal was able to identify areas to work on and she very quickly improved and gained confidence in her subject.
